Fence Indoors this Summer

Whether you’ve taken a Bryant Park Fencing class with Manhattan Fencing Center, or if you’re still dying to try one, we have some exciting news: Fencing classes will move indoors for extra free beginner sessions through June and July.

Although the park is a pleasant and interesting place to fence, it can get quite hot during the warmer months, and exercising with all that equipment on can be uncomfortable. To gear up for the Olympics later this summer, Manhattan Fencing Center is taking the fun indoors to their nearby studio, where you can learn the basics straight from the pros.

En garde!
Outdoor Fencing classes will continue through June 3 on the Fifth Avenue Terrace, next to the steps of the New York Public Library. Then, indoor classes commence on the following dates and times:

Fridays, June 10 – July 29 (no class June 24)

Pre-registration is required and all equipment is provided. There are only 16 spots available per class, and you can pre-register at or by phone at 212-382-2255. Must be 16 or older to participate.

Indoor classes take place at 225 West 39th Street, 2nd Floor.

Bryant Park Fencing classes resume in September, so mark your calendar!
