A Sonnet for Bryant Park

In honor of Valentine's Day, we wrote a sonnet for our public space one-and-only.
Perhaps it's odd to so adore a park,
But Bryant Park's the one that I adore.
Its alleés seem to sparkle in the dark,
And with the rising sun it glows still more.

It shelters from the midtown monotone,
With blooming lillies, tall trees, grassy lawn.
But Bryant Park has more than just good bones:
I find there's always something going on!

And did I mention all of it is free?
If ever we're apart, I shall not weep:
And, counting bistro chairs, I'll drift asleep.
