12:30pm: Book Club Discussion of Shakespeare's King Lear
Book Club discussion on Shakespeare's King Lear, facilitated by Amman Shea, author of Reading the OED: One Man, One Year, 21,730 Pages. Stop by and pick up a free advanced copy of your book club choice while supply lasts. Produced in partnership with Oxford University Press, Inc.   

7pm: Word For Word Poetry in partnership with Cave Canem
Derrick Weston Brown, Kyle Dargan, and Niki Herd read original works. Produced in partnership with Cave Canem. 

12:30pm: Word for Word Author Marie-Helene Bertino, 2 A.M. at The Cat's Pajamas and Robin Black, Life Drawing: A Novel.
Marie-Helene Bertino, author of the short story collection, Safe as Houses (winner of the Iowa Short Fiction Award) teams up with Robin Black, author of the critically acclaimed short story collection If I Loved You, I Would Tell You This, to discuss their highly anticipated debut novels. Hosted by Maribeth Batcha, Co-Founder & Publisher, One Story.

7pm: Word for Word Writers presents Creative Nonfiction
Pen your own story, poem, or screenplay, at writers workshops guaranteed to improve and perfect. Pre-registration required. Facilitated by Miranda McLeod, MFA, NYU.

12pm: Word for Word Kids presents Rolie Polie Guacamole
A perfect recipe of rock, funk and folk to keep you eating healthy and staying active.  

6:30pm: Reel Talks
Lively and entertaining commentary on Cannes, 1960 and 1968, the Seminal Years in Film. With resident film expert Scott Adlerberg and author Dennis Tafoya. Please note the time change.
