Reading Room Cliffs Notes is the essential guide to what's going on in the Reading Room for the upcoming week. Flashback of the Week: Clifford the Big Red Dog 
88 guests attended the first Word for Word Kids event this weekend! Kids enjoyed storytime, coloring, and photos with everyone’s favorite canine, Clifford the Big Red Dog. 

Foreshadowing for the Week of June 2

12:30pm: HSBC Sustainability
Whether the weather, our resources, the environment, or education, HSBC takes a look at the topics that reflect their corporate responsibility and commitment to making the world a better place.

7:00pm: Word For Word Poetry
Michael Klein, Kathryn Levy, Filip Marinovich, and Danniel Schoonebeek read original works.

12:30pm: Word for Word Author welcomes Herman Koch, Summer House with Swimming Pool: A Novel
New York Times best-selling author of The Dinner puts new meaning into summer reading with another psychological thriller you can’t put down.

The first person to say "Summer House" to the Reading Room Coordinator at the event will win a free copy of the book. 

12:30pm: Word for Word Poetry presents WordTech Communications
Charlotte Mandel, Rachel Hadas, and Colette Inez read original works as an homage to the 50th Anniversary of the publication of Lunch Poems by Frank O'Hara. 

12pm: Word for Word Kids presents Funkytown Playground 
Come on down to Funkytown Playground for sunshine, jumping, jamming, and more.
