Accordion Jam & Dance Party returns with Brazilian Hoedown Music

Bryant Park's Accordions Around the World is proving to be a raging success. Each week, more and more people come to see what the buzz is about, especially after our fantastic write-up in the New York Times, feature story on WABC-7, and other media coverage.

But don't take our word for it!  If you've been curious about the event, tomorrow is a great opportunity to check it out for yourself. Instead of our usual 6 accordionists, we will have 20 accordionists stationed throughout the park. From 5pm to 7pm, you'll sample a musical smorgasbord, covering classical, klezmer, French, Gypsy, cumbia, pop, Ukrainian, indie, Dominican, German, Slavic, and Balkan genres.

Immediately following, from 7pm to 9pm, is the Accordion Jam & Dance Party. Brooklyn's own Forró da Madame will delight the audience to a Northern Brazilian hoedown--country music with a Latin twist! Treat yourself to Forró da Madame's infectious joy and irresistible rhythms.

Don't miss the chance to see what everyone is talking about!
Members of Forró da Madame, from left to right: Mike LaValle, Liliana Araújo, and Uri Sharlin.
