Southwest Porch Gets an Upgrade

The 'wichcraft kiosk in the southwest corner of the park looks pretty lonely without the pergola and deck of the Southwest Porch. Last week, our crews took the first steps toward the Porch's renovation. They dismantled the fire pit, bar, and counters, and removed all of our comfy furniture. While the fountain froze just next door, crews demolished the deck and pergola structures to clear out and make way for the incoming new materials.

Looking for a piece of the Porch before we reopen this Spring?
The swings may be in storage, but you'll find the adirondack chairs and rockers on the Upper Terrace near the Bryant Park monument, still open for seating. You can also still enjoy 'wichcraft's tasty sandwiches and hot chocolate from the other 4 kiosks in the park.

We expect the Porch to reopen in April of this year. Until then we'll keep you posted on the new plans, and construction progress with periodic posts. We can't wait for another great season of Southwest Airlines in the park!
