Fifth Avenue Foliage

Garden at Fifth Ave & 42nd St from

BPC Horticulturalist Maureen Hackett’s beautiful display of Hardy Mums appeared on Gothamist yesterday. Featured in a series of photographs of New York City fall foliage, the mums provide a seasonal touch of color in front of the New York Public Library on Fifth Avenue between 42nd and 40th Streets.

Although it’s the peak of autumn, the BPC Horticulture team spent this week planting 30,000 tulip bulbs throughout the park  in anticipation of spring. Visitors can look forward to white and purple tulips blooming in the gardens that border the lawn in April 2010.
