Penn Plates: Foodie Heaven on 34th Street

We here at Bryant Park manage public spaces in other parts of the city. Our sister district, the 34th Street Partnership (34SP), covers the area between Park and 10th Avenues and 31st and 35th Streets.

We have been enjoying our new kiosk operators in the park (Le Pain Quotidien, Wafels & Dinges, and Breads Bakery -- with more to come!), and now our sister district on 34th Street is home to a delectable new pop-up food market: Penn Plates by UrbanSpace.

Penn Plates, a collaboration between Vornado Realty Trust, UrbanSpace, and 34SP, brings New York's hottest chefs and restaurants to Park East at One Penn Plaza. Enjoy a variety of foods, from pizza baked on site in a 1000 degree oven by the famous Roberta's Pizza, to delectable ice cream sandwiches by Melt, to Mexican/Southern Californian food by Calexico, and everything in between. Read more about each of the 14 vendors here

Visit Penn Plates at Park East at One Penn Plaza, located between 33rd and 34th Streets, parallel to Seventh Avenue and adjacent to Kmart.

Penn Plates will be open from 11am to 9pm daily through November 15, making this market the longest-running pop-up food market in the city. Office workers and commuters alike will enjoy the vendor variety and quality for the summer and fall seasons. While you're at Park East, take note of all the other events and activities going on in the space--a monthly book club, meditation class with Ziva Meditation, origami lessons with Origami Studio NYC, and more
Penn Plates has plenty of seating, umbrellas, and greenery--a very pleasant place to enjoy your meal!
Check out the other UrbanSpace pop-up food market in the 34th Street district, Broadway Bites, established in the fall of 2013 and back in Greeley Square now through July 26.
