Nashville Comes to New York With Concert Series

Next week, Nashville's New Music in New York series comes to the Southwest Porch. The series brings the Grand Ole Opry to the Big Apple, in partnership with  Southwest Airlines® and Nash 94.7, New York City's only country radio station. The music series celebrates the Grand Ole Opry's 89th birthday and kicks off October, which is Country Music Month.

Love and Theft performs at last year's New Music in New York series.
Rising country music stars the Swon Brothers, Dustin Lynch, and Kristian Bush of Sugarland will give free acoustic performances. Raffle winners from this weekend's Third Annual Bryant Park Square Dance won VIP tickets to the concert series. If you want to attend yourself, you can join us at 6pm on the evenings of September 29, October 1, and October 2 (next Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday). Seating is first-come, first served; the full schedule is available here.

In this photo from last year, Tyler Farr sings into the Opry's iconic microphone, which traveled all the way from Nashville for the concert series.
Attendees will be able to enter a raffle to win their very own Nashville/New York prize package including tickets to shows at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville and on Broadway in New York, merchandise from Nash FM, a print of the series, and round-trip airfare on Southwest Air.

The Southwest Porch's intimate environment and easy Adirondack chairs make a great setting for a laid-back country concert. Sips and snacks will be available for purchase from 'wichcraft

Come out and enjoy the very best of Nashville in the heart of New York.
