Reading Room Cliffs Notes: Week of July 7

Reading Room Cliffs Notes is the essential guide to what's going on in the Reading Room for the upcoming week. Despite the rain on Thursday, 72 writers joined us under our Reading Room tent for the second Writers Workshop of the season, led by Alexander Steele from our partners, Gotham Writers’ Workshop. 7pm: Word For Word Poetry presents Song Cave Press
Featuring the Poets of Song Cave PressJane Gregory, Nate Klug, Sara Nicholson, and Todd Colby; hosted by Alan Felsenthal. 


WEDNESDAY
12:30pm: Word for Word Author presents ThrillerFest NYC: FaceOff
For the first time ever, the world's greatest thriller authors come together to discuss their beloved characters and talk about the writing of this one-of-a-kind collection of a bona fide FaceOff.

7pm: Word for Word Writers presents Memoir Writing

MONDAY
12:30pm: Reel Talks presents Journalism in Film
Lively and entertaining commentary on Journalism in Film. With resident film expert Scott Adlerberg and author Wallace Stroby.
