Join Us for The Final Installment of Bryant Park Presents Modern Dance

For the past two weeks, Bryant Park Presents Modern Dance has been wowing audiences in the park. Each evening has brought emerging and established dance companies together to push the boundaries of genre.

One such example of dance innovation is last weeks' TweetDance, performed by UnderOne Dances. Audience members suggested dance material--such as waiting for the subway or a rainfall after a 7-day heatwave--via Twitter, and the UnderOne dancers interpreted the idea to music. Check out the performance in the below video clip.

This series is presented in collaboration with Inception to Exhibition, a non-profit interdisciplinary arts space, and has one performance remaining. Join us Friday, June 27 as TAKE DanceSteps Repertory Ensemble, and Body Stories: Teresa Fellion Dance take the stage. And don't forget to participate in this evening's TweetChat: direct your questions to tomorrow evening's dance companies by Tweeting with the hashtag #ITEChat at 8pm tonight.

Next Friday, Booking Dance Festival brings nine dynamic dance companies to Bryant Park for a special performance.

Hundreds of people spent a lovely Friday evening picnicking and enjoying cutting-edge dance performances.

Stephen Petronio Company performs at last week's Bryant Park Presents Modern Dance event.
