This weekend Bank of America Winter Village presents the third annual Kids Food Festival at Celsius. Like the old adage says--Give a man a fish, feed him for a day; teach a man to fish, feed him for a lifetime--this event gives kids the power to make healthy food choices for the rest of their lives. The event takes place Saturday, March 1 and Sunday, March 2 from 10am to 4pm.
Through cooking demonstrations on the main stage, the Balanced Plate Scavenger Hunt, ticketed hands-on cooking classes, and live entertainment, the Festival will educate and entertain kids ages 6 months to tweens. Classes, which focus on delicious creations like Cupcake Creations with Carlo's Bakery (featured on TLC's hit show Cake Boss) and unusual treats like roasted beet lollipops, can be reserved online here. A full event listing can be found here.
This last weekend at Bank of America Winter Village is chock-full of events. While you're at the park for Kids Food Festival, make sure you check out the Mardi Gras Party at Le Carrousel and Family Day at the Rink (both on Saturday), the Oscars screening at Southwest Porch (Sunday), and the ongoing installation of Analogia (all weekend). And don't forget to go skating on this last weekend--the Rink opens to the public a little later than usual this weekend, at 1pm on Saturday and 11am on Sunday!
