Luckily, thanks to Bank of America, it’s easy for people visiting the park, or living or working nearby, to help out. Bring your clean, lightly used winter coat to the collection bin located near the exit of the Skate Pavilion. The exit of the Skate Pavilion is between the fountain and The Rink. The collection bin at Bank of America Winter Village is accessible during all park hours.
Bank of America jump-started the coat count with a donation of 100 new coats. We urge all of you to help the cause by adding to the total, while enjoying a visit to the park. This has been a brutal winter, and every donation is much appreciated.
If you can’t make it to the park, look here to find the collection bin nearest to you. You can also get involved by organizing collections at your residence or place of work. To make a donation from your desktop, you may purchase a coat online from Target or Amazon, and it will be shipped directly to New York Cares. The Coat Drive ends on February 7.
