Over the years, you've come to expect some razzle-dazzle during the Tree Lighting Show, and this year is no exception. Our headliners are the Grammy-nominated swing band Big Bad Voodoo Daddy and The X Factor runner-up and rising star Carly Rose Sonenclar. Other performers taking the stage include The Loston Harris Trio and the Young People's Chorus. And if those musicians weren't enough, for the hour before the show, there will be six musical groups nestled among the Holiday Shops at Bank of America Winter Village to provide extra cheer, while the New York Pops Brass Quintet performs onstage.
In addition to the musical acts, we will have figure skating performances by Winter Olympians Johnny Weir and Sarah Hughes and a synchronized skating performance by the Haydenettes. If the skaters were not enough of an athletic presence, New York Yankees legend Mariano Rivera will flip the switch and light the tree for the first time in the season. Our friends Bob Bronson and Helen Little from 106.7 LiteFM will act as emcees and keep the show running smoothly.
The Haydenettes have graced the Bryant Park ice in the past. |
The second Hunger Week promotion is Dine-to-Donate. For every order of Gingerbread Cheesecake Lollipops at Celsius Restaurant, Bank of America will donate double the price of the dessert to the Food Bank For New York City.
And Bank of America favorites, like the Red Glove Giveaway and photo ops, return to the park at 5pm to make the Tree Lighting Show special. Our social media team will be out and about in the park handing Holiday Shops gift certificates to parkgoers to make the evening extra special.
