St. Luke's Orchestra Stops at Bryant Park on Subway Series Tour

Last night, Bryant Park was pleased to be the Manhattan stop on the annual Orchestra of St. Luke's Subway Series. During this series, the Orchestra plays an outdoor concert in each of the city's five boroughs with the mission of collecting food donations for City Harvest. Last night, attendees donated over 100 pounds of food. Melt Bakery was on hand too, selling its tantalizing ice cream sandwich creations.

The Orchestra performs before the William Cullen Bryant statue in the park's Upper Terrace
If you missed last night's performance, there are still two boroughs left in the Subway Series. The Orchestra plays in Brooklyn on September 27, and concludes the series in Staten Island on September 28. Remember, attendees are encouraged to bring food donations. In addition, attendees who show their MetroCard will receive a free Haydn: Morning, Noon & Evening CD featuring St. Luke's Chamber Ensemble. For more information, please visit the Subway Series website.
