Put Your Paintbrush to the Park

After an impressive inaugural year, we are thrilled to announce that the Painter in Residence program will return to Bryant Park this summer. We will once again commission 4 painters to create representational images to serve as a visual record of Bryant Park. Each painter will spend two weeks in the park capturing landscapes, iconic architecture, and daily happenings.

Over the years, we've been honored to see the park depicted in daily sketches, impressionistic watercolors, and stunning photographs. We used to stumble upon these by chance (there's a small collection on our Pinterest Board). Last year we collected a number of works by Yuka Imata, Patti Mollica, Andrea Arroyo, and Walter Lynn Mosley. We are hoping to build upon our collection for a possible exhibit in the future.
