Shop the Season: Fuel for your Shopping Weekend

The Holiday Shops have a variety of food options. From snacks to desserts to some quick meal options, you won't go hungry while you celebrate this holiday weekend in the park. (In fact, Serious Eats took note. Here's their review.) We've already raved about donuts, sampled pickles and grits, and picked up some chocolate.

This weekend as you take in all of the park's holiday flavor (the tree, the shops, the ice rink!), swing by the northwest corner of the park for some literal flavor at Two Tablespoons and Sweet and Savory.

Two Tablespoons serves vegetarian organic soups, desserts and teas made from scratch. The selection of winter warmers changes everyday with a variety of seasonal ingredients and combinations. On this particular day they were offering Red Lentil and Borscht, as well as a few stews. Ever tried pinto bean stew flavored with fresh mint and basil? Just an example of the creative and natural flavors you'll get at this kiosk. They have three sizes: small $5.50, medium $6.50, and large $7.50.

Just next door, Sweet and Savory sells soft pretzels. They offer a variety of combinations from Sigmund's Pretzels. Think feta and olive, truffle cheddar, or plain pretzels used as the bread in a nutella banana sandwich. Plain pretzels are $4, flavored specialty blends are $5, and the dessert option is $6. Perfectly priced and sized for a mobile snack on the go!
