Lunch at Celsius, Revisted

Celsius has become a mainstay of the winter season in Bryant Park, popping up annually for rinkside dining and holiday gatherings in conjunction with Citi Pond and The Holiday Shops. If you've come to expect delicious food, heartwarming beverages and sweeping views, then you won't be disappointed by Celsius this year.

We stopped by for lunch earlier this week, and were lucky to snag a couch outdoors, under a heat lamp, with a perfect view of Citi Pond. We found the service to be helpful and attentive, with a relatively quick turnaround time. All in all, we found the selection to be a slight improvement from last season's visit.

Our food selections:

Golden Stuffed Artichokes and Chilled Cherry Pepper Shrimp

Inside the delicious fried artichoke creation with blue cheese, garlic spinach, and lemon pepper remoulade, which we ordered sans bacon.

Black and White Flourless Chocolate Cake

Our favorites: The greek salad is served with generous helping of feta cheese, but you can also add shrimp or chicken, if you want to make this salad an entree. Other standouts were the golden stuffed artichokes, and the dessert with a Kahlua crème anglaise.

Regular Hours
Sunday to Wednesday: Noon – 10pm
Thursday to Saturday: Noon – Midnight

Some areas of the restaurant may be closed occasionally for private parties, and tables at Celsius become a hot commodity, when the rink is busy on the Holidays and weekends. Celsius does not take reservations. However, we found our weekday lunch visit to be a breeze.
